Low tide wisdom: Build castles, expect waves

Across the globe, one thing is common - it's tough to find someone who hates the beach. And kids building sandcastles in beaches? That's pure joy everywhere.

What started as a regular Saturday morning beach visit turned into something amazing. You know that feeling when your feet hit warm sand and you hear the waves calling? We thought it would be just another beach day.

But this morning was special. The low tide had gone out so far, we could walk straight into the sea! Step after step on wet sand, water gently lapping around our feet, until suddenly we were standing on our very own newly created little island.

The kids around were excited. They dropped to their knees and started building castle after castle on this magical piece of land. And here's what hit me - they knew this island would be gone when the water came back in next few minutes. They knew their sand creations wouldn't last. But did they worry? Not for a second.

They were just present. Completely lost in building, laughing, having the time of their lives. Not thinking about later. Not stressed about tomorrow. Just pure, beautiful fun happening right now.

Watching them was magic. When did we grown-ups forget how to live like that? When did we start missing today because we're too busy worrying about what comes next?

Maybe that's the secret. The tide of life will do what it does, but that doesn't mean we skip the joy in the moment.

Sometimes kids are the best teachers 💙
