A question popped up in my mind when I was shopping in a store where majority of the food items were classified as Organic. This categorization of food stuck up in my mind and it lead to popping up of series of questions in my brain. Shouldn’t there be only one classification eatable and non eatable? Or we humans lost the perception of knowing which is eatable to the mankind and which is not?
For an average reader and common knower like me ;organic is natural – something which is direct from nature and inorganic is something which is prepared using human’s assistance in addition to the nature’s activity.[Let me put it this way. If rice is prepared by using seeds without manual intervention, fertilizers used are prepared without manual intervention then it’s organic. If seeds modified by humans and fertilizers modified by humans are used then it’s not an organic food.]
So the next question which popped up in my mind – if human being aids a natural activity it is considered to be not natural. If that’s the case isn’t farming itself is a non natural activity? Man prepares the land for farming, man sows the seeds, man decides when to water the plants and when not to? So he is involved in altering the natural process to suffice his food demands. Farming itself is non natural.
This lead to another question ; So what is natural and man-made? Isn’t this classification itself wrong. A man made thing is considered not to be natural .How much falsehood this statement holds? Man considers himself part of the nature but man has to realize the truth that he himself is nature. Tree is not considered to be part of nature; tree is considered to be nature; same applies to man as well.
So any act of man can’t be non natural; everything is nature. By putting aside these egoistic thoughts from our egoistic mind we become one with the nature and every act of us is natural. A natural being can create only natural things.
